He has become one of the most highly-respected guitarists in the jazz world and is known for his fluid and virtuosic playing style. Benson began his career as a sideman for such artists as Brother Jack McDuff, Ronnie Cuber, and Miles Davis before starting his own solo career. He has released numerous albums throughout his career and has won ten Grammy Awards for his work. In addition to his guitar playing skills, Benson is also a talented vocalist, often adding vocals to his songs.
